As I sit here watching NBC's "The Voice", I am reminded of something.

Each contestant is giving his or her all. Attempting to be heard. Yearning for a chair to turn.

Sometimes one, two, or all four turn in recognition of the talent that they hear.   Sometimes none. It's just not there, or it's hit and miss... Come back. Try again.

I am reminded of another Voice.  One that is giving His all. Yearning to be heard.

Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me. (Revelation 3:20)
But the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake; 12 and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire [a]a still small voice. (I Kings 19:11-12))
It's so sad that the Voice of the Lord has to compete with all of the other voices in my head.  Voices that say...

"You're not worthy"

"You're not enough"

"You're too much"

"This is all there is"

"God doesn't care"

"Nobody cares"

"Your testimony has been ruined"

"Nobody can ever love you"

I could go on and on.... Like Madea says, "I've got 27 people up in my head".... But they are all liars... All conceived from the Father of Lies.

Because I am enough. I am loved.  I am worthy.  I am HIS.

So here i go... see my chair turning??

No, I'm not asking this Beautiful Voice to be part of Team Susanne.... I am humbly petitioning that I be part of Team Jesus.

Jesus, I am yours.  I want to wear your jacket.  I want you to coach me.  Take me all the way to the Finish Line.

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8: 37-39)

Life Needs More...

So, I did a thing today.
I reloaded this blog...
I took it down for  while, during some transitions, and then a severe illness, but now I'm back.
I want to start sharing again.
I need to start sharing again.
This is an outlet for me that I have let fall by the wayside, and that's not a good thing.
It's okay if not a lot of people read it.
It's okay if nobody reads it.
I need to do this for me.
It's all part of Susie getting her groove back.
So, from Sweet Tea Diaries....
Hello (again) World!
